Leading on matchday social output for the National League sponsors.

I managed the Vanarama Twitter account on National League matchdays, creating original reactive content and developing an engaging tone of voice to give relevance to the league sponsor – delivering an upturn in matchday engagement.


The Vanarama National League is the top flight of English non-league, featuring three divisions. Their Twitter strategy focuses on the action, whilst adding something different to the conversation with stats, graphics and direct interaction with fans and clubs.


This project came at an exciting time with former Premier League club Notts County and Ryan Reynolds’ Wrexham fighting for the title in the National League – a Hollywood storyline which was great publicity for the league sponsor to tap into.
