Northumberland FA

I started working with Northumberland FA initially as event staff support in February 2017, but after discussions with the Football Development Manager I was given responsibility for media on matchdays at Whitley Park, home of Newcastle United U23’s.

Live Coverage

It was with Northumberland FA that I was given my first chance of properly providing live coverage over social media.

I created my own style of coverage with goal graphics and live streams for each of the county cup finals at the end of the season – including the Senior Cup Final between Blyth Spartans and North Shields at St James’ Park.

This went down really well with the teams competing, which prompted the organisation to bring me back for the following year to cover the Northumberland FA County team.

After my live coverage of games I would write a full match report which was then published on the Northumberland FA website and social channels.

I have also written articles from interviews with players and managers, all in which were published on the website to provide a better coverage for the county FA.

Programme Design

After I gained the role with Blyth Spartans, naturally I showed my work to the team at Northumberland FA, and they got me on board straight away to edit the programme for their 2018 County Cup finals which are held at the end of the season.

A part of this project was also to design the tickets and digital marketing surrounding the cup finals. This is an ongoing project which I will update you on shortly.
